Kenya
Holiday Accommodation
There's a wide choice of holiday accommodation in Kenya, from luxury hotels in the large cities, through bijou lodges on the coast, to the most authentic of tented safari camps in Kenya's national parks and private game reserves.

Amboseli National Park

Porini Camp $$$$$
Porini Amboseli offers 9 spacious tents, comfortably furnished with en-suite shower and bathroom, and set within the conservation area. The aim is to give you a traditional hunting safari bush camp experience, so there are no permanent buildings on the camp.
Mombasa

The Cove Retreat Tree Houses $$$$$
The Cove Tree Houses at Diana Beach offer a luxurious, but unusual, holiday experience. Each tree house is set against its own intriguing Baobab tree, and is 3 metres above the ground. Air conditioned accommodation offers four poster beds, inside-out bathrooms, fully stocked bars and expansive sea views. Each tree house is serviced by an individual butler, who will take care of your every wish. An experience ideal for escapists, honeymooners and true romantics.
MAasai Mara

Governors' Camp $$$$$
Governors' Camp is located right at the very heart of the Maasai Mara, on a cliff top overlooking a bend in the Mara River. Some of the 36 tents line the riverbank with uninterrupted views over the Mara River, whilst others have views across the sweeping plains. Created in 1972, Governors’ Camp set new standards in luxury for a tented camp. Everything is under canvas; all tents have en-suit bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flushing toilets.
Meru National Park

Elsa’s Kopje $$$$$
For many years Kenya's best kept secret, the untamed wilderness of Meru National Park is best explored from its hidden jewel – Elsa's Kopje. Made famous by the film "Born Free" and George and Joy Adamson's lions, the lodge is invisible to the eye as you approach the kopje. Each of the 9 individually built cottages is luxuriously appointed, and here you'll find the ultimate "room with a view".
Rift Valley

Loldia House $$$$$
Part of one of Kenya's oldest farms, Loldia House is on the shore of Lake Naivasha, the Great Rift Valley’s highest and purest lake. With stunning views of Mount Longonot, the house nestles under ancient acacia trees. Small antelope wander through the gardens, and in the evenings hippo munch quietly by the waterside. Loldia House is an ideal spot to relax, experience the pleasures of Kenyan country life and explore the Great Rift Valley.
Tsavo National Park

Kilalinda Camp $$$$$
Situated on the banks of the Athi River, Kilalinda Lodge is a living conservation project. Kilalinda’s aim is to re-introduce game, which was greatly depleted due to poaching during the 70s and 80s, to the area. Wildlife is now moving back and you can enjoy the daily sightings of elephant, buffalo, hippo, lesser kudu, zebra, crocodile, impala and waterbuck. Leopards are also regularly seen and occasionally lion and cheetah have visited the conservation area. This is true conservation in the making, on an 8,000 acre site.
Lake Victoria

Mfangano Island Camp
Lapped by the waters of Lake Victoria, shaded by giant fig trees and lost to the world, Mfangano Island Camp is an oasis of tranquillity, an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern life. All the buildings are in the local Luo tribal style, under thatch or banana leaf, offering cool and airy accommodation. The food is as fresh as can be, fished from the lake (hopefully by you!) or picked fresh from the island’s vegetable gardens and orchards.
Nairobi

House of Waine $$$$$
Open all year round, House of Waine is situated on 2.5 acres in the forested suburbs of Karen, Nairobi. The hotel blends gracious living from another era with the spirit of modern Africa. The peaceful and serene setting and security mean you can really relax, with friendly staff, fantastic food and beautiful surroundings. There is a myriad of things to do and places to visit in and around Karen, all of which can be arranged for you by the hotel staff.
