Hunting for Hiworthias

Brian & Gill came to Close Encounters looking for a specialist Botanical Tour. Brian is an expert in the field of succulents, and they were searching for sightings of Lithops & Haworthias. Close Encounters arranged for them to have a guided tour with the Succulent Society of South Africa and one of South Africa's best botanical guides, Ince Erasmus. Brian also gave a presentation at the Succulenta Congress 2006 in Calitzdorp. They finished their trip with a few days relaxing in Cape Town.

"It's a good job you called our trip 'Hunting for Haworthias' not 'Looking for Lithops' as I don't think we'd have had a hope of finding any if we hadn't been with the guides from the Succulenta congress - they were INCREDIBLY difficult to spot, even when you'd just photographed one, you couldn't see it again five minutes later.
