Bushcat Safaris began life as a company offering escorted safaris and cultural tours to women and mature travellers, but quickly discovered that there was great demand for personalised, fully-escorted holidays from all sections of the travelling public.
Marie McCrae, bushcat's Owner
Marie McCrae comes from a background steeped in conservation, ecology and art. She is the daughter of the late Barbara Jeppe, one of South Africa's leading botanical artists and the sister of Leigh Voigt, probably most famous for her paintings of Southern African birds, among many other creative talents. Her other siblings are similarly talented.
Marie is noted for her individual inimitable pottery creations and is a passionate ecologist and nature lover.

Bushcat's particular expertise lies in organising safaris for special interest groups, which have in the past included bird watching, wildlife photography, entomology and astronomy.
